DoPT Order: Reimbursement for Premium iGOT Marketplace Courses

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued a new Office Memorandum allowing Central Government employees to take premium, paid courses on the iGOT Marketplace. Employees can now pay for select high-quality courses upfront and get the course fee reimbursed by their respective departments upon successful completion.

Main Provisions & What Has Changed

Mission Karmayogi aims to continuously build the capacity of civil servants. Until now, many courses on the iGOT platform were free. With the launch of the iGOT Marketplace, employees now have access to top-tier premium courses from premier national and international institutions.

• Pay-and-Reimburse Model: Employees can select role-relevant paid courses, pay the fee upfront out of pocket, and claim a reimbursement once they complete the course.
• Financial Limit: There is a maximum reimbursement ceiling of ₹6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only) per employee per annum.

Important Points & Eligibility Conditions

To ensure your course fee is reimbursed, employees must strictly follow these conditions:

1. MDO Approval: The course must be selected by your Ministry/Department/Organisation (MDO) and mapped in their Annual Capacity Building Plan (ACBP).
2. Successful Completion: Reimbursement is only given after you successfully finish the course and receive the official completion certificate.
3. Verification: The Nodal/Training Officer of your department will verify your course completion on the iGOT Analytics Dashboard.
4. Required Documents: To claim the refund, you must submit the course completion certificate, the fee payment receipt/invoice, and a claim form.
5. Submission Timeline: Employees are encouraged to submit their reimbursement claim within 30 days of completing the course.
