Vigilance Clearance and Five-Year Status Certificate

When seeking vigilance clearance from the Office of the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), the Laboratory/Institute must submit the request alongside the Five-Year Vigilance Status Certificate.

If the status was already sent within the last three months and no changes have occurred, the complete details need not be resubmitted. Instead, a "No-Change Certificate" is required.

However, a fresh detailed verification is mandatory if:

• The previous status is over three months old.
• A new complaint arises.
• Disciplinary action is initiated.
• An officer returns from deputation.

Retired or Superannuated Employees

For retired or superannuated employees, vigilance clearance requests will continue to be processed on a case-to-case basis due to the relatively low volume of such cases.

Transfer of Officers Within CSIR

In the event of an officer's transfer within CSIR, the updated vigilance status must be transmitted to the new Laboratory/Institute. The receiving Laboratory/Institute will then assume responsibility for maintaining the database.
