Summary of Revised ICMR Guest House Guidelines
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has issued revised guidelines for staying at their guest houses.
Revised Accommodation Charges
- ICMR staff on official or personal visits, as well as non-ICMR staff on ICMR duty, will be charged Rs. 500 plus applicable taxes per room per day.
- Non-ICMR staff visiting for official or personal reasons will be charged Rs. 1000 plus applicable taxes per room per day.
- Students, research fellows (such as JRF/SRF), and outsourced manpower on official duty will be charged Rs. 250 plus applicable taxes per room per day.
Key Terms and Conditions
- Room bookings must be requested at least 7 days before the scheduled visit.
- The standard check-out time is 12:00 PM (Noon).
- Accommodation is generally provided for up to 7 days, though extensions are permitted with special approval.
- All guests must return to the guest house by 10:00 PM.
- Cooking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.
- Any cancellations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
Rules for Long-Term Stays
- Transferred central government officials staying in the guest house for up to six months can receive rent reimbursement if they have not been allotted residential accommodation.
- During this period of stay in the guest house, no House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be admissible.
