Extension of Embargo on Deputation Applications for AAOs
The Controller General of Accounts (CGA), under the Ministry of Finance and Department of Expenditure, has issued an important Office Memorandum dated June 9, 2026.
Key Highlights of the Memorandum:
- The Competent Authority has officially extended the embargo on forwarding deputation applications concerning Assistant Accounts Officers (AAOs).
- This restriction will remain in effect until November 30, 2026.
- The decision was taken in consideration of the current and anticipated vacancy position within the AAO grade.
- All other previously established terms and conditions from the OM dated November 10, 2025, remain unchanged.
