The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has circulated an official memorandum to all its laboratories and units regarding the call for nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026. • Award Categories: The award recognizes outstanding public contributions across six specific fields: Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology.
• Eligibility Criteria: Children who are below the age of 18 years as of July 31, 2026, are eligible to be nominated.
• Special Focus: The Ministry highlights the importance of identifying deserving children who have faced significant hardships and might otherwise go unnoticed by the public. Special efforts must be made to uncover talented individuals from among girls, Divyang persons, weaker sections, and SC/ST communities.
• Application Process: All nominations and recommendations will only be accepted online. Submissions must be made through the official Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in).
• Important Dates: The online nomination window officially opened on April 1, 2026, and the strict deadline to submit nominations is July 31, 2026.
