Independence Day 2026 Competitions
The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov and MyBharat, is organizing a series of online activities to celebrate the Independence Day Ceremony 2026. The CBSE is encouraging students to participate in these events to help foster patriotism among the youth.
Upcoming Contests & Dates
- Essay Competition: Participants are required to write an essay of 500-600 words on the topic "Role of AI in building a Viksit Bharat by 2047". This will be open from 1st July to 15th July 2026.
- Painting Contest: Students can submit artwork based on the theme "India 1947 vs India 2047". The dates for this contest are 1st July to 15th July 2026.
- Online Quizzes: A series of quizzes will run from 10th June to 15th July 2026. Topics will cover the Constitution of India, Women in India's Freedom Movement, milestones in Space Technology, and India's success in Nuclear Technology.
Awards and Recognition
- The top three winners in each category will receive a cash prize of ₹15,000 each.
- Consolation prizes of ₹5,000 will be awarded to 20 participants in the Painting Contest and 50 participants across the quizzes.
- The top 200 participants will receive an e-invitation to attend the Independence Day Celebration at the Red Fort, Delhi, on 15th August 2026, and they are allowed to bring one companion.
Key Terms and Conditions
- All participants must be citizens of India.
- Participation is allowed only once per individual, and entries must be submitted on either the MyGov or MyBharat portal.
- Participants selected for the Red Fort ceremony must cover their own travel, lodging, and food expenses. However, travel on the Delhi Metro to and from the parade will be free upon showing the e-invitation.
