Rashtriya Kavya Utsav: National Recitation Competition 2026
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the National Book Trust (NBT), has announced the "Rashtriya Kavya Utsav". This National Recitation Competition will be hosted on the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (ReP) platform and is open to students in Classes 9 to 12 across India. The event will run from June 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026. The primary goal of this initiative is to promote reading habits, foster poetry appreciation, and enhance expressive communication skills among young learners.
How to Participate
- Register: Log in to the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (ReP) app or web portal and register yourself.
- Select a Poem: Choose a poem exclusively from the list provided under the Rashtriya Kavya Utsav link on the platform.
- Record a Video: Record a clear 60 to 90-second video of yourself reciting the chosen poem. Ensure your face is visible up to the waist, and do not use background music, dubbing, or AI enhancements.
- Post on Social Media: Upload the video to Instagram, YouTube, or X (formerly Twitter). You must use the official hashtag #RashtriyaKavyaUtsav and tag the official ReP handles.
- Submit Entry: Complete your submission via the official ReP website or application by providing your details, the video link, and mandatory parental consent.
Awards and Recognition
- Winners will be awarded a Digital Certificate of Excellence and will be featured on the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya website and mobile app.
- All students who submit a valid entry will receive a digital participation certificate from the Ministry of Education and the National Book Trust-India.
