PFRDA Extends Incentive Framework for NPS Sanchay Enrollments
Date: 12th May 2026
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has announced a significant expansion of its incentive framework to strengthen the distribution of the National Pension System (NPS) at the grass-root level.
Overview of the Extension
Building on previous initiatives to promote pension inclusion in the agriculture sector , PFRDA is now providing additional financial support to various grass-root agents for facilitating enrollments under the newly launched NPS Sanchay. This initiative aims to provide extra income to agents who onboard citizens, thereby expanding pension coverage.
Eligible Grass-Root Pension Agents
In addition to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), the following authorized agents operating through Points of Presence (PoPs) are now eligible for incentives:
- CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs (CSC-VLEs)
- Business Correspondents (BCs) / Pension Sakhis
- Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)
Incentive Details

This incentive is provided over and above existing onboarding charges applicable to PoPs under NPS Sanchay. Eligibility requires the receipt of initial contributions and minimum annual contributions as prescribed by PFRDA.
