Overview

The Government of India (Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions) has proposed to fill one post of Member, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in New Delhi on a deputation basis. This is a Joint Secretary level position placed in Level-14 of the Pay Matrix (₹144200 - 218200).

Key Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Officers: Open to officers of the Central Government, including All India Services and Central Group 'A' Services.
  • Service Requirements: Applicants must be holding an analogous post on a regular basis, OR have completed five years of service in Level 13 (₹123100-215900) on a regular basis.
  • Educational Qualifications: Must possess a Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience dealing with Service, Administrative, Vigilance, Establishment, and Financial matters is required.
  • Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 59 years as of the application closing date.

Tenure Details

The appointed officer will hold the office for a deputation period of five years or until they attain the age of 62 years, whichever occurs earlier.

Application Process & Deadline

Applications must be routed through the proper channels and will only be considered if the selected officer can be relieved immediately. Required documentation includes:

  • Prescribed bio-data and verified checklist.
  • Attested photocopies of up-to-date APAR dossiers for the last five years.
  • Cadre clearance, vigilance/disciplinary clearance, and a statement of penalties (if any) imposed in the last 10 years.

Deadline: All applications must reach the Section Officer, PP (B-I), DoPT, New Delhi, on or before July 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications received after this date or lacking required documents will not be entertained.
