Key Highlights of the Memorandum:
- New Interest Rate: The interest rate applicable to the House Building Advance has been officially set at 7.10%.
- Applicable Financial Year: This updated rate is valid for the financial year 2026-27.
- Effective Timeline: The 7.10% rate applies to advances sanctioned from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027, or until any further orders are issued.
This order was issued on May 13, 2026, in pursuance of directives from the Department of Economic Affairs, and is being circulated to all Central Government Ministries and Departments for immediate information and necessary action.
