Extension of APAR Timelines for Central Civil Services (2025-26)
The Government of India, through the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), has announced a one-time extension for the submission and processing of Annual Performance Assessment Reports (APAR) for the reporting year 2025-26. This relaxation has been granted due to the active engagement of various officers in the recent State Legislature elections.
Revised Deadlines (At a Glance):
- Self-Appraisal: The deadline for the Officer Reported Upon to submit their self-appraisal to the Reporting Officer is now 15th June 2026.
- Reporting Officer: Submission of the APAR by the Reporting Officer to the Reviewing Officer has been extended to 31st July 2026.
- Reviewing Officer: The APAR must be completed by the Reviewing Officer and sent to the Administration/Accepting Authority by 31st August 2026.
- Accepting Authority: The final appraisal by the Accepting Authority must be concluded by 30th September 2026.
