The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has released the calendar and guidelines for the One Week In-Service Training (IST) Programmes for the 2026-27 financial year. Below is a complete summary of the eligibility criteria, application process, and the training calendar.
Eligibility Criteria
- IAS, IPS, and IFOS Officers.
- Organized Group 'A' Officers of Central Civil Services.
- Group 'A' Officers working under the Central Staffing Scheme.
- CSS/CSSS officers at the DS/Director/Sr. PPS level and above.
- Lateral entrants serving at the DS/Director/JS level.
- Service Requirement: Officers must possess a minimum of 4 years of Group 'A' service as on 01.04.2026.
How to Apply & Important Instructions
- Eligible officers are required to apply through the e-HRMS Portal under the "Employee Services" section.
- Crucial Rule: Officers can enroll and attend ONLY ONE In-Service Training Programme during the Financial Year 2026-27.
- Please refer to the IST Circular dated 16.04.2026 for specific details regarding Payment Responsibility.
