CSIR Extends PAR Timelines for Non-Technical Cadre (2025-26)
The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has officially extended the timeline for recording the Performance Assessment Report (PAR). This update specifically applies to the Non-Technical Cadre utilizing the SPARROW platform for the 2025-26 reporting year. The extension was approved following a similar timeline adjustment made by the DoPT on May 13, 2026.
Key Extended Deadlines
- Self-Appraisal Submission: Officers must submit their self-appraisal reports to their Reporting Officer by June 15, 2026.
- Reporting Officer Forwarding: The Reporting Officer must forward the report to the next level by July 15, 2026.
- Comments for Senior Officers: For Group 'A' senior officers, comments from JS (Admin)/AS&FA are due by August 15, 2026.
- Accepting Authority Appraisal: Where provided, appraisals by the accepting authority must be completed by October 15, 2026.
- Disclosures to Officers: The PAR will be disclosed on October 1, 2026, for cases without an accepting authority, and on November 1, 2026, for those with an accepting authority.
- Representations: Any representation must be disposed of by the Competent Authority within one month of receiving it.
- End of Process: The complete PAR process will conclude and be officially taken on record by January 15, 2027.
