Overview
The Department of Skill Education, CBSE, is organizing the Skill Expo & Guidance Festival 2026-27 in various cities across India. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) to promote skill development and experiential learning.
- Skill Expo: A platform for students to showcase vocational skills, creativity, and innovative ideas.
- Guidance Festival: Provides insights into future career opportunities, essential skill sets, and mental well-being for career success.

- Animation, Visual effects, Gaming, and Comics.
- Environment & Sustainability.

- Agriculture & Rural Development.
- Media, Design & Communication.
Participation Categories
Schools can nominate teams in two categories:
- Category I: Classes 6 to 10.
- Category II: Classes 11 to 12.
Team Composition: Each project must be represented by 1 Mentor Skill teacher and 2 students.
Assessment Rubrics
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Event Schedule & Registration
A total of 31 Regional-level Skill Expos will be held, culminating in a National event on 12th January 2027.
- Starts: 23rd June 2026 in Kollam and Salem.

Note: Schools can only participate in events within their specific Regional Office (RO) jurisdiction. Projects must use eco-friendly and innovative materials.
