ICMR Assistant Promotion Exam (LDCE) 2025-2026
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has announced the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the post of Assistant (Pay Level-6) for the vacancy years 2025 and 2026.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Current Post: Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) working at ICMR Hqrs.
- Service Requirement: Minimum 5 years of regular service as of April 1, 2025 (for both years) or April 1, 2026 (for the 2026 cycle only).
- Education: Minimum three-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Computers, specifically MS Office and PowerPoint.

Examination Scheme & Syllabus
The examination consists of 100 marks divided into three mandatory modules:
- Module-I (40 Marks): Online MCQs covering Office Procedures, CCS Rules, GFR, Pension Rules, RTI Act, and more.
- Module-II (40 Marks): Online Descriptive test focusing on Noting, Drafting, and Precis Writing.
- Module-III (20 Marks): Practical Computer Skills including MS PowerPoint, MS Word formatting, and MS Excel formulae.
Note: Qualifying each module is mandatory (50% for UR; 40% for SC/ST/PwBD).

- Hard Copy Submission Deadline: May 15, 2026.
