Overview of the Addendum
The EPFO has issued a notice regarding the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to Section Officer (SO). This follows an earlier notification released on March 18, 2026. The update addresses legal proceedings (OA No. 1346/2026) filed before the Hon'ble CAT Delhi Bench by candidates who did not meet the initial eligibility criteria.
Court Directives & Provisional Eligibility
- The Hon'ble CAT, via an interim order on April 13, 2026, has directed that applicants in the court case be provisionally allowed to participate in the LDCE 2026.
- The results for these specific applicants will be kept in a sealed cover and released only with the Tribunal's permission.
- The Competent Authority has approved this provisional participation subject to the final legal outcome.
Application Portal Reopening
Online Application Window: The IBPS portal will reopen for only two days, from 21.04.2026 to 22.04.2026.
Submission Deadline: Applicants must email a PDF of their completed application to rpfc.exam@epfindia.gov.in by 03:00 P.M. on 23.04.2026.
This reopening specifically applies to those who filed OA No. 1346 of 2026.
