Public Notice: The Ministry of Communications has proposed new Recruitment Rules for LDC, Junior Accountant, and Senior Accountant roles within Postal Accounts Offices (PAOs). Stakeholders have 30 days to furnish comments.

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Recruitment for 800 estimated vacancies in the Circle Postal Accounts Offices.

Age Limit18 to 27 years
Education12th Class Pass or equivalent
Skill TestTyping speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi

Recruitment Method: 60% via Direct Recruitment (SSC), 30% through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), and 10% via seniority-cum-fitness.

2. Junior Accountant

Recruitment for 828 estimated vacancies classified as Group 'C' Non-Gazetted.

Pay LevelLevel 5 (29,200 - 92,300)
Age Limit18 to 27 years
EducationBachelor's Degree from a recognized University

Recruitment Method: 60% via Direct Recruitment (SSC), 30% through LDCE for LDCs/Stenographers with 3 years service, and 10% via seniority-cum-fitness for LDCs with 5 years service.

3. Senior Accountant

Recruitment for 3,312 estimated vacancies classified as Group 'B' Non-Gazetted.

Pay LevelLevel 6 (35,400 - 1,12,400)
Method100% via Promotion (50% Seniority / 50% LDCE)

Eligibility: Junior Accountants with 6 years regular service (for Seniority-cum-fitness) or 3 years service (for LDCE), provided they have qualified the Departmental Confirmatory Examination.
