The Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, has issued the quarterly Tables of Benefits for the savings fund under the CGEGIS-1980 for the first quarter of 2026. These tables are essential for calculating the accumulated value of savings for employees exiting the scheme during this period.

  • Interest Rate: 7.1% per annum, compounded quarterly.
  • Effective Period: January 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
  • Authority: Prepared by IRDA based on Department of Economic Affairs resolutions.

Subscription Categories

The memorandum provides two separate tables based on the subscription history of the employee:

Table 1: Standard Rate

For employees paying ₹10 p.m. until Dec 1989 and ₹15 p.m. from Jan 1, 1990, onwards.

Table 2: Opted-Out Rate

For employees who opted to continue paying ₹10 p.m. throughout their service after 1990.

Note: Since January 1, 1988, the Savings Fund receives 70% of the subscription, while the Insurance Fund receives 30%.
