- Supreme Court Verdict: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) confirmed that the matter reached finality following a judgment delivered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on February 3, 2026.
- SSC Appeal Allowed: The appeal filed by the SSC (SLP No. 1590-1591/2025) has been officially allowed.
- Other Appeals Dismissed: Appeals preferred by Shubham Pal & Ors. (SLP No. 21999/2024) and Rakshit Kumar & Ors. (SLP No. 22002/2024) have been dismissed.
Key Directives for Departments
- Removal of Conditions: Since the court cases are resolved, User Departments are instructed that the clause stating appointments are "subject to the outcome of the court case" is no longer required.
- Immediate Action: Appointing Authorities must remove this condition from offers of appointment and inform the concerned candidates.
