EPFO Circular Summary (Dated: 20 APR 2026)
Overview
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has issued mandatory guidelines for filing the Annual Performance Assessment Report (APAR) for the year 2025-26. Most cadres must now file electronically through the Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW) module, accessible via Railtel VPN.
Key Highlights
- Mandatory Filing: Filing via SPARROW is compulsory for all cadres except specific roles such as MTS, Electricians, Lift Operators, and Drivers.
- Alternate Portals: Cadres without official email IDs will use the HR Portal of EPFO for their submissions.
- System Access: SPARROW can be reached at https://sconnect.railtel.in/.
- NRC Policy: A "No Report Certificate" (NRC) will be issued if an officer has worked less than 90 days under a Reporting/Reviewing officer or if both authorities have retired without writing the report within the grace period.
