The Controller General of Accounts (CGA) has released the guidelines and a revised format for the "Annual Review on the Performance of Internal Audit Wings" for the financial year 2025-2026. - Revised Reporting Format: The format has been updated to streamline reporting and enhance comprehensiveness.
- Submission Deadline: All reports must be submitted by May 31, 2026.

iad-cga@nic.inin Microsoft Word (Times New Roman, font size 12). - Supplementary Data: Requisite details must also be furnished via a specific Google Sheet link provided by the IAD.

Reportable Irregularities (Chapter III)
The review emphasizes the brief reporting of irregularities under six specific categories:
- Cases of Overpayment and Non-recovery.
- Loss due to Infructuous or Irregular Expenditure.
- Establishment-related observations with financial implications (Advances/Pay & Allowances).
- Blockade of Government Money (e.g., unutilized budget in GeM).
- Non-accountal of Government Assets/Inventory.
- Any other items of a special nature.
