Implementation of Multiple NAVs Framework

Effective Date: 01st April 2026

The PFRDA is introducing a "Multiple NAV Framework" within pension schemes to accommodate differentiated Investment Management Fees (IMF) and Point of Presence (PoP) charges for Government and Non-Government subscribers.

System Transition & Temporary Service Closures

To implement these changes, Central Recordkeeping Agencies (CRAs) and Pension Funds will undergo system upgrades. During this transition, several services will be temporarily unavailable:

Activities / Transactions Affected Period of Closure (2026)
Inter CRA Shifting 25th March to 1st April
Rebalancing of Portfolio 28th March to 1st April
Subscriber Shifting, Error Rectification, One-Way Switch, Subscriber Preference Change, and NPS to UPS Migration Requests 27th March (from 10:30 AM) to 1st April
NPS Lite to APY Migration 27th March to 1st April
Withdrawals (Exit, Tier 2, Partial, and Family Pension) 31st March (at 10:30 AM) to 1st April

Important Information for Subscribers

  • Service Resumption: All affected transactions can be resumed from 02nd April 2026 onwards.
  • Active Services: Onboarding/registration of new subscribers and contributions by existing subscribers will not be affected and will continue normally during this period.
  • Planning: Subscribers and stakeholders are advised to schedule their pending transactions according to these closure dates.
