Year-End Closure Guidelines: FY 2025-26
Office of the Controller General of Accounts
Extended Working Hours for Accounting Offices
To facilitate the seamless closure of the Financial Year 2025-26, the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) has issued a critical directive. All Principal Accounts Offices (Pr. AOs) and Pay and Accounts Offices (PAOs) under the administrative control of the CGA are mandated to remain operational beyond standard working days.
Primary Objectives
- Ensure the uninterrupted processing and passing of pending bills.
- Facilitate the timely clearance of all year-end financial transactions.
- Enable the smooth closure of accounts for the 2025-26 fiscal period.
- Maintain continuous office functioning to avoid last-minute delays.
All administrative heads, including Pr. CCAs, CCAs, and CAs, are requested to implement the necessary arrangements to ensure these offices function without disruption during the final days of March.
