Coverage Under CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 for EPFO Employees
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has issued updated guidelines regarding the coverage of employees under the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. These instructions specifically address the procedure for updating nodal bank details and transferring funds from the National Pension System (NPS) to the pension fund.
Streamlined Procedure for Fund Transfer
To ensure a smooth transition, the following steps must be followed by Field Offices and the Head Office:

Nodal Bank Account Details
For the transfer of the Employer's share and appreciation, the following account details for the Pension-cum-Gratuity Fund must be used:
- Account Name: Employees Provident Fund 9
- Account Number: 10996708447
- IFSC Code: SBIN0000300
While transferring funds, the standard narration "Pension Conversion_Name of Employee_EID" must be used in the remarks column. Additionally, a self-contained note must be emailed to the Banking Division at the Head Office with all transfer details.
