No: Legal/2026/2/Misc/E-1265224 Date: 05.03.2026

Subject: Leveraging Nidhi Aapke Nikat (NAN 2.0) for Resolution of Consumer Forum Cases

The EPFO Head Office has issued directions to all Zonal and Regional offices to utilize the upcoming Nidhi Aapke Nikat (NAN 2.0) program, scheduled for 27 March 2026, to systematically resolve pending litigation.

Current Status: Approximately 3,219 cases are currently pending before various District (DCDRF) and State (SCDRC) Consumer Commissions. Most arise from rectifiable grievances like pension calculations, interest credits, and profile corrections.

Key Action Points for Resolution:

  • Identification: Offices must identify and shortlist cases fit for administrative settlement.
  • Member Outreach: Officials will reach out via SMS, email, or phone to invite petitioners with fixed time-slots.
  • On-the-Spot Redressal: Relevant records will be kept ready for immediate resolution during the NAN program.
  • Case Withdrawal: If satisfied, members will be requested to file an affidavit with the consumer forum to withdraw their petitions.

The objective of this drive is to provide member-centric grievance redressal and minimize avoidable litigation. The entire exercise is slated for completion by 31.03.2026.
