Extension of CGHS Facilities to DANICS and AGMUT Pensioners
The Government of India has issued a new Office Memorandum regarding the medical facilities available to specific Central Civil Service pensioners. This decision follows an examination of the provisions originally outlined in the OM dated February 1, 1988.
Key Highlights of the Update:
- Eligibility Extension: Central Civil Service pensioners under DANICS and similarly placed AGMUT cadre employees are now eligible for expanded medical options.
- Parity with AIS: These employees are now placed at par with All India Services (AIS) pensioners regarding their medical facility choices.
- Flexible Options: Eligible pensioners can now choose to avail medical facilities from either the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) or the State Government from which they retired.
- Terms and Conditions: This exercise of option is subject to the same terms and conditions applicable to AIS pensioners.
