Departmental Examination for Promotion to Auditor Grade (April 2026)
The Office of the CGDA has released the roll numbers for the upcoming Departmental Examination for Graduate Clerks seeking promotion to the Auditor Grade. The examination is officially scheduled to take place on April 8, 2026.
1. Roll Number Allotment
Candidates can now access their organization-wise and centre-wise roll numbers directly through the official website/WAN. It is important to note that the department will not be sending physical hard copies of these roll numbers; candidates must download them for their records.
2. Examination Centres and Travel Eligibility
Due to administrative requirements, the examination will be conducted at nine designated centres. In certain instances, candidates may have been reassigned to the next nearest available centre if their initial choice was unavailable. Candidates affected by these centre changes are eligible for a Travelling Allowance (TA). However, those who requested specific centres other than their nearest duty station will not be entitled to TA.
3. Data Verification and Corrections
All candidates are advised to verify their personal details—including name, grade, account number, category, and language option—carefully. Any discrepancies should be reported to the CGDA office immediately to ensure necessary amendments are made.
4. Provisional Candidature
Some candidates have been approved provisionally, often pending the verification of service books or educational qualifications. These candidates must ensure all eligibility criteria are met before the cutoff date of April 1, 2026, or their exam results will be withheld.
5. Ensuring Transparency
To maintain a fair and transparent examination environment, the competent authority has decided that the entire proceedings will be video-graphed at all examination centres.
