Revised CGHS Guidelines for AYUSH Day Care Therapy Centres (Feb 2026)
The Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has issued a corrigendum (File No. 25-1/2018/CGHS/JDAYUSH/e-3175335) regarding the minimum space requirements for the empanelment of private AYUSH Day Care Therapy Centres and Hospitals.
This update modifies the previous Office Memorandum dated August 11, 2025, specifically regarding infrastructure standards for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, and Siddha centers.
Key Changes in Minimum Space Requirements
The total required floor area remains 650 sq. ft., but the allocation for specific functional areas has been revised as follows:

Other Infrastructure Essentials
- Separate post-therapy rest rooms for males and females.
- Separate washrooms and toilets for males and females.
- Essential presence of reception, pharmacy, and drug preparation rooms.
- For multi-story buildings, a lift or chair lift is mandatory.
- Premises must be accessible to ambulances for emergencies.
