The final puzzle piece is in place. The Labour Bureau has officially released the CPI-IW for December 2025, allowing us to calculate the precise Dearness Allowance (DA) revision effective from January 1, 2026.

Official Update (30.01.2026): The All-India CPI-IW for December 2025 remained steady at 148.2. Based on the 12-month average, the DA hike is confirmed at 2%, taking the total DA from 58% to 60%.

7th CPC DA Calculation Formula

The calculation is based on the 12-month average of the CPI-IW (Base 2016=100) from January 2025 to December 2025, converted using the linking factor of 2.88.

DA % = ((Converted Average - 261.4) / 261.4) * 100

Note: The final percentage is always rounded down to the nearest integer.
