EPFO Sets Urgent Budget Deadlines for 2026-27 Welfare and Sports Budgets
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has issued two "most urgent" circulars on November 13, 2025, calling for budget proposals for the upcoming financial years.
These circulars from the Head Office are directed at various zonal heads and, specifically, the Presidents of the Regional Staff Welfare Committees (RSWCs) and Regional Sports Promotion Boards (RSPBs).
The goal is to collect and finalize the budgets for two key areas: Welfare Activities and Sports Activities.
📋 What Needs to be Submitted?
All responsible officials are requested to furnish two key financial documents:
- The Revised Estimates (RE) for the current year (2025-26).
- The Budget Estimates (BE) for the next financial year (2026-27).
These estimates must be prepared in the format provided in "Annexure-I" of the circulars.
⏰ The Urgent Deadlines
The Head Office has set very tight, "most urgent" deadlines for these submissions. The timelines are different for each category:
1. Welfare Activities Budget
- Who Submits: Presidents of the Regional Staff Welfare Committees (RSWCs).
- Deadline: Must be sent to the Head Office by November 17, 2025.
2. Sports Activities Budget
- Who Submits: Presidents of the Regional Sports Promotion Boards (RSPBs).
- Deadline: Must be sent to the Sports & Welfare Section (HRD-II) of the Head Office by November 18, 2025.
This tight schedule is necessary so that the consolidated budget for all zones can be forwarded to the main Budget Section by the scheduled date of November 24, 2025, for further action.
📧 How to Submit
The circulars specify the exact format and destination for the submissions. All estimates must be duly signed by the respective Presidents (RSWC or RSPB).
