Age Limit

Essential Qualifications (Any One)
- Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology from a recognized university or institute; AND
- Five years' experience in printing technology
- Diploma in Printing Technology from a recognized university or institute; AND
- Eight years' experience in printing technology
Desirable Qualifications
Two years' experience in estimation and sale of books
Deputation Eligibility
Officers from Central Government, State Governments, Union territory administrations, autonomous bodies, or statutory organizations who meet the following criteria:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in parent cadre or department; OR
- Five years' regular service in Level-10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) or equivalent in parent cadre or department
- Possessing the qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruitment
Deputation Period: Ordinarily not exceeding three years (including any previous deputation period)
Probation and Training
- Probation Period: Two years
- Mandatory Training: Minimum two weeks' induction training for successful completion of probation (as prescribed by Central Government)

Position Details
Classification and Pay Scale
- Service Classification: General Central Service, Group 'B', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level: Level-7 in Pay Matrix (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Number of Posts: 1 (2025) - Subject to variation based on workload
Recruitment Method
Secondary Method: By Deputation (if promotion fails)
Direct Recruitment: Not applicable for this position
Promotion Eligibility
Technical Assistants must meet ALL the following criteria:
- Five years' regular service in Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) of the pay matrix after appointment thereto on a regular basis
- Successfully completed two weeks' training in the relevant field as prescribed by the competent authority
Deputation Eligibility (If Promotion Fails)
Officers from Central Government, State Governments, or Union territory administrations with:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in parent cadre or department; OR
- Five years' regular service in Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) or equivalent in parent cadre or department
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry from a recognized university or institute
- Three years' research experience in plant chemistry
Deputation Period: Ordinarily not exceeding three years
