The Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) Karmyogi is India's national digital learning platform designed to facilitate continuous professional development and capacity building of government employees. The platform emphasizes a role-based, competency-driven approach to learning.

Three Competency Categories:

  • Domain Competency: Specialized technical knowledge and subject-matter expertise related to defense accounts, finance, and policy implementation

Latest Circular (October 31, 2025): The CGDA has updated and finalized the list of mandatory courses for each level. The new course list replaces the earlier guidelines issued on August 27, 2025.

Evolution of the Guidelines:

August 27, 2025: CGDA issued the first set of mandatory course requirements with 6 courses for each employee level, based on DoP&T guidelines dated July 4, 2025.

October 31, 2025: Updated and finalized mandatory course list incorporating refinements and ensuring alignment with the latest departmental requirements.

✅ Key Requirements & Compliance

Minimum Completion Requirement

All employees must complete a minimum of 50% of the prescribed courses for their respective levels during the reporting year.

Assessment & Performance Appraisal

Starting from the reporting period 2025-26 (APAR cycle 2026-27):

  • Course Completion Status: Status of course completion will be directly fetched from iGOT and reflected in Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs)
  • Comprehensive Assessment: Employees must pass the comprehensive assessment framework designed for mandatory courses
  • APAR Recording: Assessment completion details will be captured in Part-II (Self Appraisal) of the APAR, as per the DoP&T Corrigendum dated August 19, 2025

Implementation Timeline

Departments have been given specific timelines for implementation of these guidelines. Immediate action is required to:

  • Add Training Plans on iGOT portal for each position/designation/level
  • Ensure employees update their iGOT profiles with current designation and department details
  • Monitor and track course completion status through iGOT's "My iGOT" section
  • Prepare for integration of completion data with APAR systems

📝 Important Notes for CGDA Employees

Who Should Complete These Courses?

All personnel working at various levels in the Defense Accounts Department under CGDA, including:

  • IDAS officers and equivalents
  • Controllers and Principal Controllers of Defence Accounts (CDA/PCDA)
  • Administrative and Finance staff (SAO, AAO, Auditor, Clerk)
  • Multi-tasking staff (MTS)

Profile Update Requirement: Employees must update their iGOT profiles to correctly reflect their current role, position, designation, and department to ensure they receive the appropriate course recommendations and targets.

APAR Integration: Successful course completion and assessment passage will be reflected in the employee's Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR) from 2025-26 onwards, forming part of the formal performance evaluation.

Sparrow Integration: There is ongoing work to integrate the iGOT system with Sparrow (CGDA's internal system) to enable automatic status reflection in employee records. Consult with your HR/Admin section for updates on this integration.
