The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has commenced the preparatory phase of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 5.0), launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on 16 September 2025.
Campaign Highlights
- Campaign Period: 2 October 2025 to 31 October 2025
- Focus Areas: Pendency reduction, records management, institutionalization of Swachhta, and strengthening internal monitoring mechanisms.
- Special Emphasis: “Ease of Rules” initiative to enhance Ease of Living for pensioners.
Cleanliness & Swachhta Drive
DoPPW, in coordination with Central Government Pensioners’ Associations, has identified 59 cleanliness sites across India. During the preparatory phase, the Joint Secretary (Pension) inspected these sites and directed officials to put in maximum effort to achieve the targets.
As part of “Swachhta Hi Sewa” programme, Dr. Jitendra Singh (MoS, PP), along with Shri V. Srinivas (Secretary, Pension) and all DoPPW officials, will participate in a plantation drive at Nehru Park, Niti Marg, New Delhi on 01 October 2025.
Targets for SCDPM 5.0
- Disposal of 7,500 public grievances (including appeals).
- Review of 2,409 physical files.
- Review of 5,300 e-files.
Daily progress will be closely monitored by a dedicated team and uploaded on the SCDPM portal hosted by DARPG.
